If you cannot concentrate, have trouble sleeping, trouble remembering and accomplishing tasks, feel grouchy, grind your teeth, have high blood pressure, are short of breath, or feel faint or dizzy, these could be signs of stress, which leads to imbalances in the brain. Most common is inability to relax, can’t sleep, and lack of focus. Certain foods are brain savers, such as berries, fruit, coffee, dark chocolate, green tea, grape seeds, broccoli, onions, spinach, tomatoes, legumes, leafy greens, colorful fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seafood, poultry, olive oil, and water. Actually a high fiber, plant based, low sugar diet is best. Green tea increases the activity in the working and memory part of the brain. It halts mental decline. You can spice up food with turmeric, cinnamon, thyme, and rosemary. Use good fats like olive oil, nuts, avocados, omega 3 fatty acids found in fatty cold water fish for both the heart and brain. Fiber is very important. Good probiotics are necessary.

Avoid antimicrobial soaps, chemical toxins, and limit antibiotics. Meditation and yoga are very beneficial. Get enough sleep, relax, socialize, and move. Jog, lunge, Zumba, and dance help brain cells grow. Breathing exercises are great.

Taking care of your brain is good for the entire functioning of the body. Everything is connected. Maintain your good health.
